If using in a diffuser, follow the instructions for your specific diffuser.
If using in a bath, dilute a few drops in a carrier oil or bath salts, then add to the bath water.
If applying topically, dilute 1-2 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil such almond, coconut or jojoba oil. Patch test on a small area of skin for 30 minutes to ensure no skin irritations result. Citrus essential oils (like orange, mandarin, bergamot, grapefruit, lemon) are photosensitive, making skin more sensitive to UV radiation and sunburns. Avoid exposure to direct sun and UV rays for up to 12 hours after application.
