Please note: The Kapok fibre has a faint natural smell that may be noticeable when first opening the box. It is a natural smell of Kapok fibre being in a box for transit. This is a small quirk for getting a true natural product. It does not last after Kapok is aired out. Air out under the sun in a dry room or dry environment for a couple of days or weeks to dissipate. For faster airing, take out the outer cover, or open the zipper to have the sun reach the Kapok.

Care

Put the Zabuton under the sun every once in a while to refresh the cushion's Kapok stuffing. Avoid exposing Kapok to humidity or water. If exposed, dry in the sun for as long as it needs, and it will get back to normal.

Washing

To wash outer the casing, remove and hand wash with cold water. To wash the inner casing, remove filling prior to washing. Dry in shade. Do not tumble dry. Do not wet the filling. Do not bleach. If washing instructions are not followed for the fabrics, shrinkage could occur.
